Teens for Teens, or T4T, aims to promote mental wellbeing in teenagers by spreading awareness of mental health concerns, providing a safe space for those afflicted by mental health concerns, and equipping teenagers with the resources they need to better their mental wellbeing.
About Us
T4T is a student-led organization that strives to promote mental wellbeing in teenagers. Mental health issues are so prevalent among teenagers. In fact, 1 in 4 teenagers struggle with a mental health disorder, out of which only 50% of them get the help they need. Many who don't get the help that they need go on to commit suicide, making suicide as a result of mental health issues the 3rd leading cause of death. In a time like the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine, when teenagers feel more isolated from their friends than ever, mental wellbeing is collectively declining. That's where the mission of T4T comes in.
T4T works through this website, Instagram account, and virtual events. On this website are links to many resources that can help brighten your day and improve your mental wellbeing. Our Instagram page spreads positivity through social media, through inspirational quotes, good news, and resources like the ones on this website. Finally, there will be virtual events like talks, webinars, and interactive speeches/Q&As from people in the mental health field/community, as well as social workers and psychologists/psychiatrists.

The Psychology of Blue
Blue invokes a sense of calmness and serenity. The popular color is often associated with feelings of tranquility, stability, and reliability. Even the sight of blue can lower one's heart rate and body temperature, which is why T4T's color scheme revolves mostly around the color blue. The lighter shades of blue, like turquoise, tend to make one feel peaceful and content. Additionally, the darker shades of blue make one feel powerful and strong.
